1) Do 'Write Right' compo ( Handout 2 , Story Web 2 ) on your own. - about 100 words and 4 paragraphs neatly with a sharp pencil. Please do not forget to write your name, class and date at the top of the page.
2) You can start to buy the FTGP booklet from the school bookshop. ( about $2) . Bring on Fridays , starting from next week.

1) Pls take note that the Grammar and Vocab AMODES test will be held next Wed 6/3 . Revise Learning sheets 3.1, 4.1 and 4.4
2) Poetry Recitation AMODES scoresheet is given. Parent to sign and put in brown file.
3) There are a few pupils who could not remember their lines for the Show and Tell presentation today and others who forgot to bring their item. Last date for testiong is tomorrow. Please do not forget to bring the item and memorise the lines by tomorrow. Thanks!

1) Letter on EL Week - STAGE is given out to pupils. Details will be given later. Pupils have to come on Monday 11 /3 wearing a costume based on any character from a book written by Roald Dahl.
2) Practise for your Show and Tell AMODES for Wednesday 27/2 and Thursday 28/2. Bring your item. Marks will be deducted if there is no item brought. Remember also to defiine at least one new word.
3) There are a few pupils who have not completed Grammar WB Pg 5, 19 and 94. Pls hand in tomorrow before school.
4) Two pupils have not handed in Unit 4 WS. Pls do so by tomorrow.
5) For those who forgot to bring the 70 cents today, pls bring it tomorrow.

1) No Literacy Block on Monday.
2) Practise Show & Tell. Memorise.
3) Bring 70 cents for purple Compo file.
4) Math red file is returned. Please revise for Amodes next Tuesday. The topics are Numbers to 1000, Addition and Subtraction. It is MCQ type test. Need to know the place value well. Refer to worksheet 15 for examples. Corrections will be explained in class on Monday. Need to know number bonds and part-whole for addition and subtraction.
5) Buy model drawing ruler and bring it on Monday.

1) Do invitation card.
 Paste white paper to write the contents on the inside.
  Another name and yourself are the hosts 
Details to include:
- the kind of party you are having ( eg barbeque or ice-cream party?)
- date
- time
- address
- sender
Decorate front cover and write your name and class at the side so that I know whose card it is.

2) Do Unit 4 WS Pg 12, 13, 14,15 ,16 and 17 on your own. ( I have conducted teaching activities with the pupils in class.on those components  )

1) Pls be reminded to refer to the rubrics for Show and Tell, pupi;ls have to explain the meaning of at least one new word to the class.
2) Pls take note that thrre is an error in the List of Collective Nouns. It should be 'an army of ants' and not a swarm of ants. The spelling for the ' troupe of dancers' should also be 'troupe". I apologise for the errors. ( Thanks, Mrs Ong )
3) Do Unit 4 WS Pg 6 and 7. Hand in before sch tomorrow.

1) LC AMODES will be held tomorrow. Pls revise LS 2.13,2.14 and 3.6 ( beginning and ending sounds- Pls ensure that child does not confuse these sounds with rhymes. Last year, many pupils were confused and so lost valuable marks.

4) Do follow-up activity for "Beware the Cat" ( Choose one ) Mrs P. chooses this sign when she wants to be by herself/ Mrs P chooses this sign when she wants to invite people to her house. Draw sign and decorate.

3) Parent to sign Spelling Book. Do Corr.
4) Rubrics for Show and Tell is given.
5) Math Amodes will be on 26 February, next Tuesday. Topics covered are Numbers to 1000, Addition and Subtraction. Please revise in all the worksheets and booklets found in the file. The Amodes test consists of MCQ questions only.
6) Math red file is returned. Do corrections. Please get parent's signature on the content page. Hand in tomorrow for checking.

1) Today is Total Defence Day commemoration. Pupils to complete a pledge card. They have to write what they will do, draw a picture on it and colour it. Hand in on Monday.

2) Learn Spelling 5 for Monday.

3) Revise Learning sheets 2.13, 2.14 and 3.6 for LC AMODES for Wednesday 20 Feb.

1)  Pls be informed that the AMODES test for Listening Comprehension will be carried out next Wednesday 20 Feb. Pls revise Learning sheet 2.13, 2.14 and 3.6. Pupils will be tested on beginning and ending sounds. Some pupils are still confused and think that these sounds refer to rhyming sounds. There will be a trial exercise for the pupils today.
2) The deadline for the Food Drive for the less fortunate will be tomorrow. Pls bring your items if you wish to contribute to those who are less fortunate.
3) Unit 3 WS will be returned tomorrow. Parent, please sign the WS and put in brown file. Thanks!
4) Brown file is returned for revision.
5) Letter on Swimming Carnival is given. Pls  hand in reply slip tomorrow.

1) Please be reminded to come to school in your Chinese traditional clothing/sch uniform and sch shoes tomorrow. Sch will be dimissed at the usual time. (1.45 pm)
2) Pls remember to bring your food item for the class party which will be from 8.30 am, to 9.30 am. After that, pupils are to help clear and tidy the areas and tables used.
3) You may bring a small bag. Lessons that will go on for tomorrow are those between 11.45 am - 1.15 pm. Bring diary as well.

1) Pls hand in cheque for payment for school enrichment programmes. A letter on the details and amount has been given to your son. You can submit the cheque either to the general office or to me.
2) Pupils can dress in their traditional Chinese clothing on Friday. Please wear school shoes. Those who do not have the Chinese costumes can come in their school uniform.

2) For those who have not bought the mouthpiece for pianica for Music lesson, this is a gentle reminder. Pls do so by this week. You may buy it from the school bookshop. Pls refer to the book list given last year for the price.
3) Bring a few red packets each for CNY.
