1) Parents must log into the LMS ( Learning Management System) to indicate the travel plans for the holidays between 30 Oct and 4 November. After that date, system will close. Instruction sheet on how to do it has been printed by Mrs Thomasz and dirtributed to your son.

1) Stapled Exam papers with an orange reply slip are returned to pupils. Parents are to check every script and ensure that the answers are correctly marked and the total marks for each page and grand total are correct. Pls also check that the marks reflected on the orange reply slip are correctly transferred. Only the total marks for Oral are given. The Oral scoresheet will not be given. Pupul has to return all exam papers with the parents' signature on the reply slip and exam scripts tomorrow. 2) Pupils in the Pr 1 Orientation skit need not attend the practice on Thursday as Mrs Thomasz has a pupil promotion meeting with the school, hence practice session on Thursday is cancelled.

1) I need to select 8 pupils to take part in a small presentation for Pr 1 Orientation which is on 16 November from 7 am to 11 am. Pls let me know if you can make it. Thanks. 2) Spelling Unit 18 will be tseted next Monday.

1) Put Compo corrections in purple file. 2) Parent to sign Trial Paper 2012 . Revise and put in brown file. 3) Revise all Compo notes and star writer compos in purple file. Revise esp the latest compo notes, particularly how to spell commonly misspelt words and the colourful phrases. Take note of the following points : - Try not to write more than 180 words - Tendency to make errors is higher with longer piece of writing. A shorter piece with no errors may get higher marks than one that is particularly long but has errors. - Use dialogue only if you are confident on using it and know how to punctuate it well. Punctuation errors are penalised. - Must have at least 4 paragraphs. Do not have particularly long paragraphs. It is preferable to have shorter paragraphs, even if it means having more no of paragraphs. - Your story has to be based on the 4 pictures given. Do not write out of context. - Please make the flow smooth as you go from one paragraph to another by having link words. - Try to vary the types of sentences used. 4) Bring 3 sharpened pencils, an eraser and a sharpener for the exam tomorrow. 5) You may bring a small bag with you. Sch ends at 12.30 pm tomorrow. 6) No sch next week- PSLE Marking 7) Eng Paper 2 Exam, Listening Comprehension Exam and Spelling Exam will be on 21 October (after the PSLE Marking holidays) Pls revise for it.

1) Parent to sign Listening Comprehension trial paper. Revise and put in brown file. 2) Pls note that for Compo notes, pupils need only memorise the part on colourful phrases. Pls guide pupils to write a story of between 100-150 words. Pls remind your son not to write too much of dialogue. Maybe between 1-3 setences is sufficient. Pupils who are not able to use the correct punctuation for dialogue are strongly advised not to include dialogue. Marks are also deducted for incorrect spelling in the compo exam. 3) Sch will end at 12.30 on Friday 11 Oct.

1) If you want to order the sch yearbk, pls put $12 and the reply slip in a sealed envelope with name, class and mt on the outside and hand to Ms Lee(co-form teacher ) tomorrow. 2) Parent to sign Compo notes . Revise every day . The section on Show, Don't Tell is a little difficult. Meant only for A group pupils. Compo Exam on Friday 11 Oct. 3) Bring prepared foolscap paper for Spelling Ex Name, class and Nos 1-30.(Exam Spelling List) 4) Do Corrections for Cmpo - A Rainy Day (Use a sharpened pencil) 5) Put "The Bullies" compo in purple file. 6) Parent to sign Trial paper 2011. Revise and put in brown file.

1) Trial Paper 1 is returned. Section C and half of Section B has been covered for corrections. Ms Tan will go through the rest of the questions starting from Q33 next Monday, 7 October and Section A. Please get parent's signature and hand in on Monday.
