1) The following will be tested from the exam Spelling list. Tues 1/10 - Nos 11-20 ( Spelling ex bk) Wed 2/10 - Nos 21 -30 ( Spelling ex bk) Mon 7/10 - Nos 1-30 ( to be done on foolscap paper and prepared at home. Write name and class and numbers from 1 -30 on the paper and bring to sch ) 2) Re-write corrections for compo- 'The Bullies' on template provided. Staple it to the first draft and hand in before sch tomorrow. Use a sharpened pencil and write neatly. 3) Revise Star Writer compositions. Put in purple file. 4) Corrections for "Lost in Chinatown" are returned. Put in purple file. 5) Parent to sign Trial paper 2010. Revise all sections, esp Sections D and F. Put in brown file. 6) Bring Sharity envelope if not given yet. 7) Hand in Math Plus: Volume with parent's signature tomorrow. 8) Hand in MPAH Time worksheet tomorrow for checking of parent's signature.

1) Pls complete Composition for those who couldn't complete in class. 2) 5 boys have still not handed in their VIA card. Pls complete the reflections and activities and hand in tomorrow. 3) Spelling List Unit 17 will be tested on Thursday. 4) 16 pupils have completed their Oral Exam. The other 14 pupils will be tested tomorrow.

1) No sch tomorrow. (PSLE Listening Comprehension Exam) 2) Learn Unit 17 Spelling for next Thursday, not Tuesday as instructed to pupils earlier. Sorry about that. 3) Unit 18 will not be tested for exam. 4) Events Participation Form is given. Pls hand in by Monday 23 Sep. A nil return is required. 5) Pls revise for English Oral starting from Monday 23 Sep to Wed 25 Sep. Revise Speak Well Package, going through all notes and practice exercises. Some details about the Oral Exam. -Pupils are expected to speak in complete sentences. -Pupils will be given some time to read and practise on their own before being tested by the examiner. They will be given a plastic folder with the reading passage on the front and the stimulus-based conversation on the flip side. No written prompts are given on the section with the stimulus -based conversation. The prompts will instead be asked by the examiner. Pupils are expected to practise reading the passage softly on their own during this time. They also have to use this time gainfully to guess/ predict the conversation prompts and try answering/ practising on their own. They can do this because 4 pictures will be shown on the page. A favourite question asked at this point would be "What is your favourite _____? and give reasons why you would pick the item. "(choice is based on the 4 pictures). The second part will be an exitension question on the same theme. Eg "Do you have the item with you at home now? Tell me how you use it." or "Have you watched that television programme before? Tell me about it." Pupils can just guess topics and questions and practise during this time. -Pupils should try to speak/read with expression and use the correct tense when speaking. - Pupils can also use the newspapers and magazines to practise their reading and stimulus-based conversation over the week-end. 6) Parent to sign P4C booklet. Do Pg 7 and 8. Do all corrections in blue. Booklet must be completed. If not, pls do. Pass up on Monday. 7) HE WB are returned for revision.

1) A photocopied copy of the VIA has been given to pupils who have misplaced their copy. Pls try to complete a few of the activities and the reflections at the front and back and return tomorrow. Deadline: Thursday 19 Sep. 2) AMODES card is given today. Parent to sign and keep the copy. 3) Certificate for "Teach Me To Fish" is given out today. 4) Revise for English Oral Exam next Monday 23/9/2013. There are two components - Reading Aloud and Stimulus-based conversation. Revise the 'Speak Well' Package. For the conversation component, pupils are strongly encouraged to speak as much as they can on the prompts.- 4 to 5 sentences on each prompt. Use expression and speak clearly in complete sentences. A good guide would be to cover aspects of the WH questions on the theme or topic( Who, What, Where, Why, What, Which, When, How). 5) Parent to sign Spelling bk. Do Corrections and hand in tomorrow before school. .

1) Learn Spelling Unit 16. 2/ Return all class library books tomorrow. 3) Do Corr. for composition neatly using a sharpened pencil. 4) Pls take note that class photos have been given out. 5) To date, only 9 pupils have handed in their VIA cards. If your son has not handed in his, pls hand it to me by Thursday 19 Sep, (end of this week). All activities and reflections must be completed or your son will not be awarded the CIP hours and may not meet the minimum requirement for Pr 2 pupils. He needs to get a photocopy if he has lost his card or thrown it away. Thanks.

1) Sch ends at 12 pm tomorrow. 2) Learn Spelling Unit 16 for Tuesday after holidays. 3) Read at least 5 story books for these holidays. 4) Learn Past Tense /Present Tense and all notes in Compo File. Compo exam - term 4 week 4 (11 Oct) and Oral Exam- 23/9 and 24/9 Revise Speak Well Package. 5) Music SA2 task, notes and rubrics are given. 6) Do Compo- Lost in Chinatown on your own using a sharpened pencil. Please write a little bigger and have at least 4 paragraphs. 7) Math file is updated till the topic on Time. Station-based Amodes on Money, Mini Test 3, Math Plus booklet on Time and IDIM Time are filed in. Please get parents to sign on both content pages on Fractions and Time, all Amodes, Math Plus booklets and IDIM quiz. Please revise all topics.
